Financial Information

At the end of each financial year the Parish Council appoints an independent person to conduct an 'Internal Audit'. For the audit, several primary documents are prepared. The documents for the year ending 31 March 2020 to 31st March 2021 are available below

Smaller authorities, such as Glapthorn, must publish certain documents on a public website as required by the Accounts and Audit Regulations 2015, the Local Audit (Smaller Authorities) Regulations 2015 and the Transparency Code for Smaller Authorities.

The documents for the year ending 31st March 2021 are:

Parish Council Precept

The Parish Council Precept is a tax charged on each property in the parish to fund the Parish Council. It is used to fund all the activities that the Parish Council undertakes for the benefit of the community. The Parish Council Precept demand is submitted to North Northamptonshire Council (NNC). For the year 2021 - 2022 it is £14,300.

Every year, the Parish Council draws up budgets and calculates how much money is required for the next Financial Year.
