The Annual Community Litter Pick will take place in Glapthorn on 5th, 6th and 7th April.
As you will know we have entered Glapthorn in the Northants Best Village competition and we expect the judges to descend on the village very soon. Whilst it is not a 'best kept village competition', nonetheless first impressions often count!

There will be an Extra-Ordinary Parish Council meeting to be held in the Village Hall on Thursday 4th April at 7.30pm for the Council to consider using some reserve funds to pay legal fees associated with the lease of land from the Diocesan Board to access the playing field site.

Great news. Last evening the Policy and Resources Committee of East Northamptonshire Council approved a £50,000 Community Facilities Fund grant to Glapthorn Parish Council for its playing field project.

Due to the concerns over the condition of the bridge structure on Station Road Oundle it is necessary to put in place a number of weight restrictions. To do this will require the installation of bollards to ensure that the bridge is protected and this can only safely be done under a road closure.
