Anglian Water are requiring to install a new water connection on Main Street, Glapthorn. To undertake this work safely will require that the road is closed for up to three days from the 22nd February 2019.

Thanks to a team of volunteers, and a small cash donation from the Parish Council for materials, and the support of the Highways Authority - look what can be done!
After many years of weather beating, the bridge and fence railings in Glapthorn have been given a new lease of life and smartened up our village. Well done all.

Work to repair the collapsed sewer, and making good the road surface, is likely to continue until the weekend. Judging by the spoil (see picture) it is a big hole!
The road closure order is valid until 5th October.
