The Ordinary Parish Council Meeting for September has been brought forward to Thursday 13th September at 7.30pm in the Village Hall. This is to enable timely responses to be made to two planning applications. More information to follow.

Result of Public Consultation - Playing Field Project
This evening I witnessed and verified the count of votes placed during the recent public consultation to determine if there is support within the community for the Parish Council to undertake a loan in support of the Playing Field Project.
There was a 69% response to the ballot. From 235 ballot papers issued, 162 were returned. There were no spoilt papers.

Referendum Result
The Returning Officer, David Oliver, announced the result of the referendum, held on 5th July, as follows.
The question asked was, "Do you want East Northamptonshire District Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Glapthorn Area to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood planning area?"
The number cast in favour of YES was 123 (88%)
The number cast in favour of NO was 17 (12%)

Vacancy for a Parish Councillor
The Parish Council will fill the vacancy by co-option. This will take place at a meeting of the Parish Council on Thursday 19th July 2018 at the Village Hall.
The closing date for applications has past.

Errata to Neighbourhood Plan circulated to all households.
1.Page 13 – caption to photographs - Brookside (top) and Main Street (blow) – to read Brookside (top) and Main Street (below).
2. Page 24 – paragraph 6.3.1 reference to 7 sites - this conclusion was endorsed by between 69% and 79% of respondents – to read - between 69% and 97% of respondents.
The amended version of the plan is on the web site.
