Anglian Water are requiring to install a new water connection on Main Street, Glapthorn. To undertake this work safely will require that the road is closed for up to three days from the 25th February 2019.

Work to repair the collapsed sewer, and making good the road surface, is likely to continue until the weekend. Judging by the spoil (see picture) it is a big hole!
The road closure order is valid until 5th October.

The Ordinary Parish Council Meeting for September has been brought forward to Thursday 13th September at 7.30pm in the Village Hall. This is to enable timely responses to be made to two planning applications. More information to follow.

This evening I witnessed and verified the count of votes placed during the recent public consultation to determine if there is support within the community for the Parish Council to undertake a loan in support of the Playing Field Project.
There was a 69% response to the ballot. From 235 ballot papers issued, 162 were returned. There were no spoilt papers.
